Learn how to roll a kayak and basic paddle techniques on the beautiful Smith River!
Led by 3 ACA certified kayak instructors, two alumni from the Paddle Tribal Waters program and their instructor!

End of Summer Earth Right Adventure Camp
In August 2026, local youth joined Redwood Rides for an unforgettable trip exploring the recently undammed Klamath River
At the end of August, the last KPN-funded Earth Right Adventure Camp fulfilled a long-held dream of organizers to have Del Norte youth raft and kayak a stretch of the Klamath River that was flooded by dams just over two years ago.
Camp participants learned about the river’s restoration, Klamath River tribes’ role in the fight to undam the river and of the Shasta Tribe’s connection to the land flooded by four dams starting over a 100 years ago. The kids also rafted in Karuk country learning about sacred sites and capping off the trip with a visit to the 25 foot waterfalls on Ukonom Creek named after a Karuk chief.
